I've sprung a leak!

Last night was book club, and we discussed The Road. It was a great discussion book. Like all good "book club books" it elicited a strong reaction from just about everybody...good or bad. You've got to love a good book club discussion. I love the people in my book club, what a bunch of smart "ladies". I hate usually that word :).

But anyway, at book club we were discussing the little boy in the book, we figured him to be about 8 years old. Same age as Hannah. I kind of had a little epiphany last night, and it really wasn't a big one because I knew this already...it just kind hit a little stronger. For the past couple days (especially the day BEFORE yesterday) I have felt it was a struggle with her. Just getting her to pick up her socks smoothly took effort. That can be mentally exhausting! But we were talking about the little boy and when he became a "man" in the book. And I'm sitting there thinking...Hannah is okay...I'm okay as a Mother. Hannah is just figuring "it" out, figuring out how to make choices and decisions on her own. Figuring out who she is. And that's a good thing. So, when I look at the struggles of parenting with different glasses, it gives me more hope that I'm doing the right thing...more patience to let my kids figure life out and more endurance to keep on "doing what I'm doing".

Yesterday, Hope's nose finally stopped running and she took 2 naps again. Yeah for Hope!I nursed her for the last time at 7 (a little early because I was off to book club). That girl didn't wake up until 7:30 and she didn't wake up once last night. Ever since she started teething she has been waking up again at 5:30 ish. Oh the joys of nursing! I was certainly ready for her to wake up and do her thing this morning.

Are you getting the image?

Today should be a good day. Lazy morning until we leave to pick Hunter up at the U of H campus. Again, what was I thinking? I guess I wasn't! Then off to swim and "lunch" (as Holly says) at Lifetime with the Dollars. Last time we went Hayden figured out the water slides, so he can't wait to go back. Fun times and good food. What else can a girl ask for?

We got the hint! Between the headline and the photos, we know exactly what you felt like this morning. I'm really not looking forward to nursing again! Have a fun day.

My sweet Hannah is priceless. I sure do love that girl. Have fun with the Dollars today. Let me know about the food at fitness club. I bet Hayden can hardly wait to go down that slide. Quite an accomplishment for that little guy.

i wish i understood the imagry a little better. my milk supply sucks! by hope's age, i'm barely making enough the kid alive. so sad.

my milk supply was terrible too. that is why kaitlin started on formula when she was about 2 weeks old. I cried and cried, i felt like the worst mom ever! the pediatrician had to tell me to chill, because i was quite hysterical. oh the joys...

Oh I understand the leaking. I couldn't find breats pads to control it. But....I found out (to late) that you can get breast cups at the pharmacy that catches excess milk that can be bottled and it fit smoothly under your bras. My friend swears by them!

Wow, those breasts cups sound cool. I could have used those. I'm so glad that Hope is sleeping again. Emmett is cutting his molars and will sometimes awake with a shriek...which tells me teething and not just being annoying. I hope you had fun at the pool. Mary Ellen loves thoses slides. She won't go on the covered one, but finally got me to go on the uncovered one:)
