Hannah made this "bonnet" for Hope the other day, when we were having a little "family time". She has made me aprons and all kinds of treasures! I can hand that girl a hunk of material and she has all kinds of fun.
My "little princess" (can you hear the sarcasm?? :) got up last night 3 times! I'm not sure what the problem was, but I just got up and nursed her. I wasn't in the mood to be tough mama. I figured, I'm up anyway...I can either nurse her and go back to bed for a couple hours or listen to her scream for an hour. I got up and nursed her...she usually is a great sleeper so maybe she is teething, or something. I sure missed Scott last night, he is the best up in the middle of the night Daddy ever!! I'm spoiled.
And last, but oh so not least we have the DUCKS. Yes, these are in Chase's yard. Have I told you about these beauties yet? He rescued them about two years ago from our neighborhood pond. There was some injustice happening and he felt the need to save them. Anyway, we has tried taking them back to the pond, but they keep finding their way "home". Lucky me. You see sometimes they quack at about 5:30 AM for food. I really have gotten used to them, usually. Not last night though. I had just finished nursing Hope for the THIRD time, when they started in. Chase must have been sleeping (lucky him) because nobody came out to feed them. Soooo, they kept quacking until Hope woke up again, this time for good, at 7:00. If I had a gun in the house last night, you might see a new menu item on my blog...roasted duck!

you shoulda put a call in to Chase to have him take care of those duckies.
Does Chase read your blog? I bet he has no idea he gets mentioned so often! And I didn't know you had those little friends next door, that must be a treat!
It sounds like you were having an all nighter too. We are probably going to get visits from the humane society. Me for wanting to drown our dog, and you for wanting to shoot the ducks.
Hope is so cute, kaitlin had those same jammies when she was a baby. Nothing is cuter than a baby in pj's.
He doesn't read my blog as far as I know, but he does get some air time doesn't he? I haven't even touched my neighgor Chip!! Now that will be entertainment when I do. ha I wonder if Chase saw me taking pictures of his backyard this morning. I'll just tell him!
Hannah is a little crafty girl. Hope is super cute (even crying!). I'm the same way in the middle of the night. Just get up and get to nursing. When does your husband get home? Hopefully soon so you can have some help!
Duck a al mode sounds good to me. I grew up next to neighbors that bought chickens for the kids for easter (and no we did not live on a farm)One of them ended up being a rooster. They don't only cock-a-doodle-do in the morning is all day/night long! So I understand your pain! My mom finally went over and complained so they gave the rooster away and then a month later a dog got loose in the neighborhood and had a lovely chicken dinner! Maybe there is a dog that would like a ni e taste of duck?
wait, isn't duck a la mode duck with ice cream? i mean, i love me some ice cream, but you've got to draw the line somewhere! :) sorry about your late night. i was grouchy from an early wake-up call this morning and then maya told me about a dream she had that she had a different mom and she was so much nicer than i was. that girl! can't wait 'til she's a teen.
Hannah looks more like you every time I see her!! What a cute girl!!
