The good times continue around. Friday afternoon we made it to the movie. Mom and Hayden saw the Fantastic Four, while the rest of us saw Pirates. I know some people didn't love that movie, but I thought it was entertaining. It's probably my third favorite in the series, but still good.
The kids have a great piano teacher that really rewards them for trying hard and doing there best. Hannah got a $25 Visa gift card, and Hunter scored some Crawford box seats! The boys had a rockin' good time at the Astro's game on Friday night. The girls had a good time on their girl's night out at Macaroni Grill. My favorite is Penne Rustica, Caesar salad and of course the bread with Balsamic vinegar. Yum. After dinner Hannah and I drove to the airport to pick up my Dad. I was so tired, but enjoyed chatting it up with Hannah and my Dad.
It has been raining off and on (mostly on) this week, but we managed to squeeze in a trip to Lifetime pool and some rock climbing today. Sure enough, after about 45 minutes of swimming, they closed the pool. All the Gray's suited up to climb, even me. Mom and Dad were watching and holding Hope. I am VERY afraid of heights, but I tried it. The first time up I even made it up half way.,..before I freaked out. I was stuck up there for 30 seconds thinking...I can't move, I want down, I can't let go, I want down!! AHHHH. Finally, I let go (not very gracefully mind you) I hit my head on the descent, but I didn't care I was down! I tried it 3 more times, knowing full well I wasn't getting higher than about 3-4 feet, but I wanted to practice "letting go". I mastered that part :). The kids kept wanting me to go up again and go higher, but no...not today. I'm taking BABY STEPS!

yay. a post finally! those pictures are adorable. Hopey is looking big. Hannah's looking tan. The boys look naughty, in the sweetest of ways. I'm glad you gave climbing a try. You're tough! I'm jealous that mom and dad got to hold hopey that whole time! you guys are having fun, it sounds like! wish i could be there to join in the festivities!
Good for you for trying climbing! I've done a smidgeon of it but sometimes I get the fear of heights thing happening. BTW, did you stay past the end of the credits for Pirates? I missed it, but I hear it gives you a little more closure w/ the ending.
I did stay, my kids said "that's it?! We stayed for that?!"
How fun hanging out with your Mom & Dad! That's awesmoe you braved climbing as well--it looks pretty intimidating to me! Enjoy your time with your parents--lucky girl ;)
Good job climbing the wall. I am very impressed.(I would be way too chicken) How fun that your parents are in town. I love it when my parents come for a visit.
How awful am I that I didn't know you were afraid of heights. Maybe I did know that and I have forgotten??? Sounds like you are having fun with Mom and Dad. They'll be at my house soon!
Knowing you, Heather Gray, you'll think about the wall until you can't stand it anymore, analyze, and then be at the top in no time flat.
