Five Minutes Peace

I like these little shoes, or maybe I just like the little toes poking out, but they make me smile anyway. I didn't get to Costco like I had wanted, Hope was up early this morning and was ready for a nap...that she never REALLY took until this afternoon. So I kind of farted the morning away waiting for that. But we did get some cleaning done. My kids hate to vacuum unless I get out the little mini vac and then they are all over it. Go figure. We got all kinds of dust bunnies and dog hair balls cleaned up this morning.

We made it to the gym today for that class at noon. OH MY GOSH, I'm going to be so sore tomorrow. She changed the workout up, so it was all different. But I HIT it, I want some "cut arms", but I will settle for arms that don't jiggle. Probably a little more realistic right now :) But the teacher talked a lot about how important weight training is, and it got me fired up. (She competes in weightlifting competitions...not big and ugly, just very fit and cut).

Scott came home and took the big kids to Hunter's batting practice. Not the most exciting of places, but they were excited to get Daddy time and I was excited for them to go :). Have you ever read that book called Five Minutes Peace? It's a children's book about a Mama elephant that can't get five minutes of peace in for herself. She keeps trying though....that's about how I felt today. You should check it out, it's cute.

Good Grief, I just looked up 5 minutes peace on Amazon. The cheapest one is 92.94. That must be a fabulous book. I am going to try and find it at the library. I love kids feet. I have a picture of Kaitlin's feet when she was a baby, so cute!

That has got to be a mistake, don't you think?? It is a good book, but not that good!

I think sometimes books are hard to come by, so people ask a huge amount for them. Probably nobody will pay that.

i'll add that one to my list of books to look for...i can definitely relate to that. as soon as chris gets home every day i shut myself into the office to read e-mail or blog for 5 minutes alone. maybe that's why i'm tearing my hair out with him out of town...aren't we women amazing, though? to be able to decomopress and refresh ourselves in 5 minutes??? i think even a trip to the bathroom without someone following me can do wonders!

If I get to go to the bathroom without an interruption I feel like it is a miracle. Kevin and I were talking about this at dinner tonight. Connor was done before I was through my salad. He wanted down. They he wanted me to hold him. Kevin was trying to tell me about a work thing, I couldn't concentrate. AHHH. All I keep thinking is that soon I will have two pawing at me. I sometimes don't think I was cut out for motherhood. And I mean that in the nicest (??) possible way. I love him more than anything, but I swear, I am tired and achy and I want to lay down!!!!

Cute pictures and cute shoes. I'll have to check that book out. Hooray for 5 minutes (or even 5 seconds) to yourself.
