Just keeping it real dog

Okay, so I tried to sign up to cancel some (probably not all) of my junk mail, and I'll be honest it's kind of a pain. I went first to that GreenDimes website, and they have some options where they do it, but they charge you for it. Uh no. I'm kind of cheap I guess, I'll just do it. I think I did it, but it wasn't all that user friendly. We shall see. It probably didn't help that Hope was awake and fussing on my lap when I tried. She is taking her nap now, maybe I will try today.

Also, Hayden tried to break out the moon sand the other day, and I must admit I had a little fit. No gritty sand on my new table and floors, thank you very much. I still let him play...just outside on the picnic table :)

Hayden said a naughty word today, and I asked him where he heard that, and he said from me. It made me kind of sad, and I must do better!!! I'm not a truck driver, but sometimes...this blog is called Confessions of a Redhead. And I'm not perfect, but I am trying.

Oh AND I talked with this one lady about book club. She is a photographer, and I called her to take pictures of my kids. She really is a super nice/cool person. She runs and does triathlons. So, I'm not dissing (is that how you spell that word??) her, but...she is the one that was telling me (at Enrichment) she really likes Jodi Piccoult. Cool. I liked 19 Minutes. She mentioned today that Jodi is a bit edgy for her. That, at one point, the Relief Society Prez before the current one, wanted to "okay" the book choices for the LDS book club. Okay okay okay, not for me. I'd go to discuss a book, but I don't want to spear head THAT. I'm not interested in an "Enrichment" night book club. I'm currently reading the Other Boleyn Girl...I loved Middlesex, East of Eden (a favorite of mine) has a prostitute for a main character for goodness sake. I will wait on the whole "starting my own book club" thing. Wait until I know more people. Maybe exclusive is good. :)

With all that in mind, I invited Hayden's little friend Dean and his Mom over to play and have some herbal tea next week. She invited me to coffee a few weeks ago, I told her I didn't drink coffee, but I'd love to have some herbal tea. I couldn't go when she wanted anyway. I'm sure she is wondering. ;)

um, I'd say that when it comes to book clubs, exclusive IS better in some cases. and NO CHURCH groups. it's too limiting.

watch that mouth sailor:)

I would totally wait on the book club. I can't imagine having someone other than the participants "approve" the book choices. Ugh. As for the kiddos, all we can do is keep trying to be better! They see all the good stuff you do too.

Kaitlin has said "damnit" a few times. It's from me. I am trying to stop. I still say jackass and am just waiting for her to repeat that one. Glad you are making friends out there.

I bet he had just as much fun on the picnic table as on your new table anyway. Kids say the darn'st things!!

What about your local library book club? The one here always seems to be reading something interesting. I think you might get a few of your "naked old ladies" Hee hee, but their great for different viewpoints. And for the naughty word, remember friend, that its my daughter, Mary Ellen, who dropped an F-bomb at the tender age of two. So just compare yourself to me to make yourself feel like a good mother:) I do miss you, and I'm glad you are settling in. I liked your response to the offer of coffee...you will introduce her to a whole new world of refreshing hot beverages.

Okay, WHAT did he say? Just to be civil, just give me the first letter. I'm trying to determine if I should bring the soap on our next visit so I can wash your mouth, and yes, it's okay to tell Hannah that I her mom is officially in trouble.

Not a fan of moon sand either. And I agree -- no book club where the RS Pres. has to OK the book. What's up with that???

Dad, the word was the sh word...I may or may not have said it when Scout poop in the garage...I was using it as a noun, comprende??? I won't tell Hannah, because she didn't hear me say it, I don't want to ruin anymore of my children :)

I am so reluctant to recommend books to people, especially from church. I am a speed reader, so if I come to a questionable part, I just skip over it. Plus, some of my favorite books, have it in there.. like The Time Traveler's Wife. One of my all time favorite books!
