If you are, by chance, in the market for an ice creamer scooper, I bought one the other day that I love. It makes me happy. I love the color too. I even bought ice cream. I mean...I'm stocked. I've got Blue Bell strawberry, cookies and cream and homemade vanilla, and Breyer's mint chocolate chip. See, I told you.
On to more important matters...the move. We are still waiting on our house in WA to close (we have NO firm date yet either, and the bank doesn't care!). It could happen this week or in a month. No wonder these banks are in such a world of hurt. This house we are buying is in pre-foreclosure. I can't believe just how long it takes these banks to approve a sale. I was on the phone today lining up temporary housing...oh joy (but just in case). Let the good times roll. Me, Scott, four kids, a 70 lb golden retriever all in a 3 bedroom apartment. I really have been so proud of myself though. I have been Miss Flexible! I just keep reminding myself (on an hourly basis) this house is worth waiting for, and in the long run, what's another month????

You know, I am in the market for an ice cream scoop(tired of Ryan bending all of my spoons) Thanks for the tip! Good luck with the house. You are right, it will all be worth it in the end.
it is worth waiting for. but i can't imagine its fun. that does look like a fun ice cream scoop - i want some please! (my diet might just have to be put on the back burner)
i love you miss flexible. you're amazing me with your patience. and just think - that house is going to rock your world, when you get it. whenever that might be!
Did you get the ice cream scooper from Amazon.com or find it in a local store. I need a new one the teflon is peeling off my current scooper.
I'm proud of you and how patient and understanding you are about the moving drama. It will be worth it.
I want a new scooper too -- mine is so old and I want a new one. This one is gorgeous -- love the green. And we'll keep everything crossed (fingers, toes, eyes, etc.) that the house thing picks up speed. This waiting stuff is for the birds.
holy crap! it's coming up, though. crazy. so i'll be seeing you in portland next time i get up there!
I bought the ice cream scooper for $8.99 at my HEB. They come in all sorts of pretty colors too. Like sherbert colors.
We did the apartment thing for three months! It totally sucked, but in the end it was worth it to get the house we wanted. The kids thought it was the best adventure ever! Parker still talks about wanting to move back. He loved being so close and cozy.
That is one cool scooper! I hope your house goes through asap! What are they thinking?! Making you sit around and wait. At least you have a good attitude about it! :)
I agree with Sarah about the kids loving the apartment. They will think it is so cool! And then you will think that Ginormous house is EVEN bigger when you actually move in. You will need to install intercoms! I'm only half joking, I had them growing up and they are kind of fun:) My Dad used to sing to us on them in the morning.
Anything that helps me get my ice cream out faster and without burning too many calories is on my "need to own" list. You are a better person than me. I would not wait and pick something else out! It will be SOOO worth it though.
