Black Friday???

Brief break from my church duties to blog. I'm the Primary Secretary at church and it's a busy time. I have been sitting here for too long making charts and more charts. I have had fun consolidating. Why do we need two things that basically say the same thing??? We don't. I'm shaking it up a bit ;)

We had a great Thanksgiving around here. My parents were here, and now they are going home. Literally, in like a 1/2 hour we need to leave to go to the airport. I'm going to the gym tonight. I feel pretty gross. NEED TO LIFT WEIGHTS! I have been running, but I'm needing to "feel the burn".

I was a little disappointed in the Black Friday sales. My Mom and I even slept in until 7:30 yesterday! Now that is unheard of. We are some of the crazy people that will get up and at it, by 5:30 am or so. But not yesterday. Kohl's was the best place we hit. Lines to the back of the store-oh yeah! What happened to Target? There just wasn't much there. I think they kind of blew it. There wasn't even a line at Target, so I wasn't the only one that thought so. Oh well, I still got a big chunk of shopping done yesterday.

Glad Kohl's came through for you. I hate crowds way to much to even attempt Black Friday shopping.

i have to disagree! i spent a fortune at target and the lines were out of control at 6am. we were getting down and dirty with some shopping cart bumper carts! :) i got a new point & click camera, mp3 speaker set, small vacuum & new sheets. i think my mama got digital frames. i also did well at jcpenney's for our angel tree senior citizens, and at walmart for toys - a few for my kids but mostly for the toy drives. and i hit old navy, too. i always enjoy getting out there with the crowds for the shopping superbowl! it's lots o' fun!

Well that's good Natalie, I guess it just wasn't the stuff I was looking for. My target was not very busy at 8:30, I think people were at Kohl's. Those digital frames are cool, I got one for my parents last year. I hit the Old Navy and got some good deals there too. I got a cute new coat, yippee! I like shopping the sales too on Black Friday, it's fun. Jori, I hate crowd pretty much any other day :)

We had a ball, I thought. Lots of fun for sure -- and lots of spending, that's for sure, but it got the job done.

holly and i hit the stores around 9 am. we were not in time for the complete madness although the stores were still busy. but we really didn't get anything all that spectacular - a few cheap movies. i'm a movie slut, i think. :)

I kind of want one of those frames now, after the sales. Oh well.

I hear you, heather. I slept in until 8:00!! Freaky for me, but also a little exhilirating that I slept in on Black Friday. We found a few things at Target and Walmart, but I think I just wasn't in my "crazy shopping mode" or something.

I'm just hoping something will be left on Monday and good sales because I still have some shopping to do before I leave for St. George.
