Maybe this could work...
I was at the gym this morning, and I kept seeing people outside...running by. You see, fitting in "my run" never used to be an issue. That was back in the day when my husband didn't workout. Or if he did, it was at night. I never work out at night, so that just wasn't an issue. Well, that has all changed. He is now teaching a running group and some cycling classes ( all during those precious early morning hours), so the early morning hours are no longer exclusively MY time. That's cool, but sometimes it's a little hard to fit my runs in. I don't have a great jogging stroller, the truth is I just don't want one. Running to me is such a "quiet your mind" kind of activity that running with a child would simply take most (if not all) the fun out of it for me. Plus, I don't LOVE running on the treadmill, it becomes more like work on a treadmill. So what to do? I have been thinking about posting another comment at Lifetime. I asked them to clean the outside chairs, and they were there pressure washing. I asked for an interval class, they added one to the schedule. So, I was thinking of asking for a track...but the light bulb went off today when all those Boot Camp people were outside running. Who needs a track? I can go run around the building!! I even checked with the child-care people, it's okay. See, this way, I drop Hope off, and go hit it outside. Maybe if I take my cell phone, I'd have an even greater range. It is getting a few degrees cooler...shoot in a month it will be down right "nice" outside...for a couple months anyway :)

Sounds like a plan to me -- love it that you can leave Hope at the gym and hit the great outdoors. I'm a big fan of outdoor running too. (or at least I was!)
that's awesome that you can run around the building & that they'll let you leave miss hopey. i miss her by the way. i'm excited to see you two in a few weeks!
sweet, great plan! i wish i could learn to love running. maybe someday.
Good thinking! I am so happy it's getting cooler. I love walking outside.
When I spoke with you this morning about it, I was just on such a high! Oh my goodness! We get to run outside and leave our little ones in the care of people who won't be sleeping, or grouchy, or on a conference call, or who won't expect a little "payback" later (hee hee;), and then I thought - "what has our life come to that we get this excited about running in circles AROUND A BUILDING! I'm laughing as I type this. (But I'm still excited)
That's awesome you can run outside while they watch Hope--it's perfect....I get sick o the treadmill, and I feel the same way about a jogging stroller--um, this is my alone time and pushing an extra 70 lbs of my fighting kids (stressing about them) is not my idea of a great run. I hope the weather continues to cool so you'll enjoy your runs more...are you going to run the Austin 1/2 marathon?
brilliant plan. you have the best gym ever. honestly.
you are right about the stroller thing, although talk about some serious resistance. It is a harder work-out. geez. not my idea of fun!
What a great idea. Things always work out, right?
I used to run around that path at the Y in Houston until I heard an animal and got freaked out. So nice to have the kids all taken care of so you can enjoy yourself for a minute.
I know the Y will let you run as far as you want, if you have a cell phone (or maybe you are supposed to run on the track, but I ran all the way down Cypresswood. It was GREAT!
I'm with you on this. If I am going to make the effort of working out, I don't want to be interupted by the kiddies. I am actually looking forward to joining the gym again when Will is old enough for the daycare.
