There is just no time for being sick-carry on soldier!!

As of Friday, I had a fever on and off for 8 days. It wasn't ever very high...I'm talking 99*-100*, and it would come and go. Usually, it would hit at night and I'd get the chills, BAAAD headache, localized back pain on the right side and body aches. So, being the "wise" person I am, I pretty much ignored it and said "oh I feel better this morning". Only to have "it" return that night or the next. I was just "too busy" to take it easy. I would go to the gym, really not getting a good workout at all, thinking I'd "burn" whatever it was up. Whatever. So, it lasted and lasted and lasted. Finally, after feeling terrible for 24 hours straight, I called the doctor. Eventually, they called back...they couldn't see me (oh course not), but they thought I needed to be seen today. Well, I couldn't possibly be seen this afternoon-I was too busy! But after talking to my Mom, a friend AND the doctor I was convinced I needed to be seen, maybe it was a kidney infection...???? Maybe I really was doing massive bodily harm and I didn't even know it? OHHH, so at 10:30 PM Friday night I went to one of those Emergency Care clinics. Blood was drawn, urine was tested and $100 was spent...nothing mysterious here, it's the FLU. No bacteria to treat, just rest and plenty of fluids. So, yesterday after Hayden's soccer game and pictures and Hunter's homecoming football game I came home to start relaxing. :) This morning I showered AND washed my hair, only to change my undies and put on a clean pair of PJs. Hopefully, I won't leave this house all day. I didn't even make up the bed, I just know I'll be back to take a nap. But I really do think I had this "thing" kicked by Saturday, seriously. :)

Take things very easy and get feeling better. Let others take care of you for a change (easier said than done, I know!).
