I have started "making" Hunter and Hannah practice the piano again. I have been pretty hit or miss since we moved into the house. But not anymore. Practice practice practice. Hunter has been practicing his clarinet so, he has been musical. He is down there playing the Children's Hymns right now and doing so good. Dare I say better than 3 months ago? How can that be...without practice. He thinks it's all the clarinet practicing. Funny.
We have been in this house for 6 weeks (or something close) already. Really, it seems longer. To me anyway. Everybody was talking about how fast the time has flown by, but to me, it's been a LOOOOONG 6 weeks, full of growing for me. The further into this experience I go, the happier I am. The happier I am to be happy. I still mourn my "old life", but I had it good in TX. Still hating my hair, but that will grow out! My twin called today to see if I wanted to go to dinner and a movie. It's the fancy type of restaurant/movie all rolled into one. I couldn't be more excited. Movie with no kids! Ahhhh!! And big comfy leather chairs. Can't wait!
This ward (church) is very social. Lots of parties going on. We went to Sam's 40th birthday party on Saturday and had fun. They are also very into karaoke. Since I don't drink alcohol, I need to loosen up a bit. I haven't taken hold of the microphone, but just wait! When I do...there will be some bleeding ear drums. ha. They'll just need to turn my microphone waaay down. I didn't know there were so many karaoke type games out there. I think we have now played at least half of them. Scott is a champ, everybody loves his falsetto. He is famous now. :)
Oh, and other good news...Hunter just beat Scott at ping pong!! First time ever. Cause for celebration! Nobody has beat Scott at ping pong!!!
**update-Scott has done something to his back, and I'm afraid it's a "man sized" back ache. You do remember that video I posted, right...about the man cold. I can only say this because he said it first, and laughed. I hate bad backs!!

Moving is always a process I think. We moved around alot when I was growing up and it was always hard to establish new friends and all. It sounds like you are doing well and if you are rocking out on Karoke and going to parties, good for you!!
Sounds like you are finding your place in your new area/ward. That's a nice feeling -- and I love hearing about the piano/clarinet practicing too! Yay for them!
So glad to hear Hannah and Hunter are back practicing the piano. So Hunter is the ping pong champ. How amazing he can do anything he sets his mind to. Sorry to hear about the back problem for Scott. Is the dinner and movie a girls night out or are you taking husbands? Have fun.
Hunter beats me all the time in checkers and chess, I have no doubt that he will beat me in ping pong too...I'm still smarter than him though (they don't have a show about being smarter than a 6TH GRADER do they). I remember when he just liked to cuddle...
What movie are you going to see? There are a few out there that I would love to see. And I love that dinner/movie combo. Its so nice to be waited on!
i can only imagine how proud hunter is of himself for beating scottie. i hope scott's back is better. even if men can be wimpy, i sympathize with back ache! ;) i agree with you sis, i don't do karaoke. its just not fair to others around.
