moving update-it's almost complete

The house is empty. Tomorrow we sign the papers. Scott and I have both had a moment today. AKA crying like babies that is. I'll miss the house yes, but it's the memories that I'll miss the most. Have you ever watched that show, If These Walls Could Talk? We started talking about that and it was all over. Seeing little Hopey walk around this empty house just made us remember little Hunter (who was about the same age) doing the exact same thing. I was SO happy and excited to move here. I couldn't wait. I was IN LOVE with this house. Now I have little Hunter memories and the sweet memories of bringing 3 more babies home here. I remember sitting on my couch nursing little Hannah when the neighbor girl Andrea asked from the top of the stairs if she could play with the Little Tikes grocery cart. Sure...I said. Next thing I know she has pushed that big old cart down my big flight of stairs=big hole in the wall. Ahhh, memories.

In unrelated moving news...I went for my "annual" today. Wanted to get THAT in before I left town. And the doctor reminded me I was now 35 and that meant baseline mammogram. Oh goody I said. I went back later this afternoon, and I'm happy to report it didn't hurt!!! Uncomfortable, yes, but I was pleasantly surprised!! Yipppee for having no boobs!!! (the one time in life I will probably ever say that) :)

Your dad and I talked and both of us teared up at one point over the weekend. I'm with you about the memories. But your next house will enjoy a loving family with lots on the go and we will be there for the next round of memories. Actually I remember San Diego and Hunter running up and down the stairs looking for his binky and the baseball going over the house and on your porch the day you brought him home. It just keeps getting better.

Oh man, moving does tug at the heartstrings, doesn't it? You will have a whole new batch of memories at the new house. Thankfully you have pictures and video so you don't forget Tomball. And I can't believe they fit you in for the mammy on the same day! Impressive.

I'm so sad to see you go, and yet so excited to hear about your adventures. I can imagine how hard it is to leave your house. I guess the new memories you've yet to make is what will pull you through.

I had that same "ugh" feeling when we moved in July. I went through the house one last time before we locked up and lost it. I still get a pit in my stomach when I think about it, but we like it here too. Hang in there! You will be fine, make good friends and make new memories with your family there. Good luck with everything! Can't wait to hear about your new house/neighborhood/ward etc.

Glad the move is going smoothly. Change is great, but it's sad at the same time isn't it? Good job going for your mammy.(thanks for the word Holly.)
