I got a phone call from Rosa in CA today...I've never met Rosa, but she has Scott's license. He dropped it in the airport! I'm hoping that since he is out of the country (Amsterdam and London) he has his passport and that will be good enough for an ID! Nice one Scott.
I needed a new flat iron with my new hair cut. I had one, but it was a 2 inch-too big! Maybe that's why I never liked using one. So, I started shopping. At first, I thought I needed the Chi. Hello, they are $150! My hair doesn't need a flat iron THAT bad. That goes along the lines of something I'll be cheap about. Not when Josh (my hair cutter who's step- DAD is the maker of the Chi) told me it costs Mr. Farouk like $13 to make one. I got the Revlon ceramic 1 inch and I'm quite happy with it. I'm so happy in fact I could do a little happy dance for saving myself all that money. Today was my off day for washing my hair. BUT, I worked out, and by the time I got home...it was curling and sticking out in places it had not business doing such things. I fired that little sucker up, and wham!! cute hair once again...no wash needed!

Poor Scott. I hope his passport is enough ID. That was nice of Rosa to call you. Love your flat iron! I have one but it is gigantic. I think I will look for one like yours tomorrow.
yee haw, that is awesome that you got a bargain. i'd go bargain on that, too. but i think my mama has a chi, if i'm not mistaken.
sucks that scott dropped his license! but how nice that someone actually called with it! there are some seriously nice people in this world.
that is nice of rosa to get in touch with you. and i'm glad you got your flat iron, too!
I love my flat iron. Glad you enjoy. I wish I could do off days for my hair. But I just can't. I need warsh every day or I feel like it is greasy. Doesn't mean I do warsh everyday...dirty girl!
I had a Chi - but Nate shocked himself in the sink with it, and it broke.. so I bought that SAME one, and I love it too! I will say it's not quite as nice, but it works pretty darn good!
or well?? ;)
Mine was pricey for sure but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It actually isn't a Chi - of course I found one that cost MORE. But it has one thing I need with my thin, fine hair -- a temperature control so that I don't make it hotter than I really need it.
Oh yes, those over priced flat irons are really taking us suckers for a ride...I'm sure they are being made as we speak by some little Chinese folk who are making like 2 cents an hour for all their hard work (Bless their lil hearts)!
Ugh, can't cheap WalMart just bust one out for us? Although as I think about it...I'm sure they hire the cheap labor as well.
My $25 one has a nice temp control, I just turn it up to fry the crap out of my hair though, ha.
oh i love the revlon straightners. i've used one for like five years and always been happy with it. i'm sure the chi would be nice, but i'm like you- i love a bargain on things like that. and hello it only costs him $13? now i'm never buying one!
$13 to make? Holy Crap--that's just wrong of those Chi people. I do love a good flat iron, but not that much. Your hair, by the way, is SOOO cute...I need a haircut asap!
That stinks Scott lost his liscense, but the good news is you have a new friend in Rosa!!
