There is nothing like staying home when your baby is sick. She is one of those sick babies that likes you to hold them. Just sit there...and hold her, and of course let her rub my ear. And you know what, she is my baby, and I can do that...for the most part. She did fall asleep at one point and I went outside to my garage and did my book camp. I have a play list that I have entitled... Get Your Groove On. It's good stuff, and I indeed can get my groove on ;)
Hope is now fer-real asleep in her bed. So, I could break away and blog away. I was doing my thing and happened upon my friend Sarah's blog, who posted about some delicious pumpkin treat. I am a sucker for the pumpkin treats. I quickly hurried down to make sure I had all ingredients, happily I did. Butter scotch morsels and cream cheese included. I love that.
The only problem is, what to have for dinner? I have menu planned for the week, but I'm not so sure I'll be making it to the grocery store. Maybe when Hunter gets home I can run over. Scott is oot. I'm using code, so none of the scary rapist/murders will see this and come get me. If the kids or I ever get REALLY sick, you can be assured Scott is...OOT. I'm sure I'll be getting barfing pretty soon. Hope kept coming into my room last night starting at about 12. After about 1/2 of her tossing and turning and her breathing RIGHT in my face, I'd take her back to her room, only to have her back again the next 1/2 hour. That lasted until about 4, when she barfed...all over the sheets. She started making barfing noises, and since I hadn't been "really" asleep since about 12, I gathered the top sheet and caught-it-all. Am I good or what?
So, I'm off to go bake, and then read, and then watch another Oprah followed by another Sesame Street, because I'm sure Hope will be awake by then.
**Oh imagine my profound disappointment, when I went to start baking, I realized I didn't have any canned pumpkin. I always have canned pumkpin, I didn't even look for that. I really will be grocery shopping later today.

Oh, barfing babies! Do you have any phenegran (sp?) on hand? Its a life saver, but I don't use it until their little tummies are totally empty and you get to the green stuff. Its made now as a cream you rub into their wrist so you don't have to do the suppositories anymore. I took some to DisneyWorld and as it turns out, we needed it for Jordan in the middle of one night. I hope no one else gets it. I'll send healthy vibes your way!
I like when the sick babies let me hold them, usually that's the only time.
Let me know if you like the recipe. It's on my to do list.
Hope Hope gets feeling better soon!
Jane, I made the cake and it's good, but the gooey cake (that I posted about before) is better. Jennifer, I'm hoping nobody else gets it too, especially me!!!! :)
I just thought you misspelled out. Your code would fool me :)
Sick Babies=No fun

Heather, try some Airborne for yourself. It works for me everytime. Whenever I'm exposed to sick people or just feeling run down I take it and it works. Its not a medicine. Look it up online and see what you think.
I love it that you sit and hold your sick babies. Of course we do that, so do my girls, and its incredibly important that we do.
Have a lovely day. 18-days and counting. :-)
ugggg. i am so sorry that hopey is sick. i hope by today she's feeling better!
Isn't is a bummer to go into the pantry and not find the key ingredient for a treat you have your heart set on?
I am so with you. I went through our house with a vengeance too - I feel your pain!
