So, you are probably like me in a lot of ways. Sometimes, I get a little bored...not bored like I don't have anything to do. Of course not, we've all got lots to do. But bored like...I'm not mentally challenged enough, bored like...I picking up the same things day in and day out. Lately, I feel like I am changing my attitude, my perception of what it is I do around here, this house, and with my family. It's still a work in progress don't get me wrong. But now my new perspective is this: My full time job is keeper of this house and all that's in it. That includes the house the people the food. It's my full time job and I get payed LOTS of money. Lot's of it. (haha this is where you need to imagine a little) So, if I want to keep getting those pay increases ;), I must keep it fresh. Find new ways to do old things. Find new ways to cook the same old food. Find new ways to teach my kids all that they need to learn. Find news ways to keep myself mentally stimulated and motivated at the gym. Keep on keeping on. I even called a bunch of people to meet up at the park. I haven't done that in a while, so that's keeping it fresh too.
**PS I'm probably the only one to tell a difference, but that's okay. It's huge to me.

I think that you have the right attitude. I read somewhere once back when we worked outside the home in jobs that we may or may have not always loved to view our bosses as clients and we were hired as consultants. It made such a huge mental change in my thinking. Like I was in charge of my own destiny. I was hired to give counsel and to do the best job I could do but it made a world of difference when I thought of my obxoxious boss as my client:) Not that our kids and husbands are obnoxious=) But I do like the idea of being in charge of how we do our jobs. We aren't slaves to what we do! We can change it up! Now, can I come meet you at the park? Or even in your home state, cause we now won't get power back until Sunday:(
You are really good at mixing it up, and your family is better because of it. You are a good example to me too. keep up the good work & ideas.
I'm so proud of you I could cry. You may never know how really important your full time job is, but I think I'm starting to. Like all of us with full time jobs, we need to find creative ways to stay interested and interesting and I'm glad you are smart enough to recognize that, and do something about it.
That's definitely a great outlook on things. I wish I could be that way about everything... It's human nature to get bored of any routine. To overcome that by any means is miraculous. :) Keep up the good work!
I'm taking my ipod to the gym. Never done that before always just watch TV. I love the way you think. You inspire me to try harder.
